My Mom and Dad came up to Pinehurst/Southern Pines from St. Simons Island Georgia to visit and look around.
Since it was just a short hour trip down for us and Hayley was off school, we headed down to hang out with them. We ended up staying an extra day and Jeff even drove down for the last night.
We checked out the sites, the lovely golf courses, the quaint village, ate some good food and played some silly games. It was great to see them because I miss them so much.

At long last…. edited down from over 260 to about 90 photos in five categories. Fhew, I take too many photos! But there are shots from graduation, the farm, the cemetery, Hillison Road and misc ones.
Also due to scads of work, these aren’t really edited very much. The photos here are just small version of very large higher res photos that can be edited, sharpened, cropped, etc.

My mom was wonderful and a huge help, and it was just a great great time – we snuggled a lot, laughed, shopped and just goofed off. My stepdad brought Hayley a few clubs and they worked on golf – since he is a golf pro, he was in seventh heaven to play with a grandchild.
They left this morning to go back to St. Simons Island GA, as mom, Hayley and I cried our eyes out.
Best early mother’s day present I could have gotten – my mom and my daughter together. God they had so much fun together and my heart is happy.

Grandma Sharen and her friends were staying in Raleigh at a hotel that had opened their pool so we hit the water!

And by hit the water, I meant it literally in this case.

This might be a bit odd but I took photos of the graves of people I love. Hayley and I went to the graveyard to check it out, remarkably she wasn’t afraid, just curious.

On our trip up to Blacksburg, Hayley got an early Xmas present from Grandma Sharen & Grandpa John. It was some moon shoes that you put on your feet and jump – and you can get BIG air jumping on them. Much fun was had!

I have a slew of more photos to post but here are some of Hayley with our families during the UNC-VT weekend. I’ll post photos from the game itself next.
Oh and it is bubble wrap that Hayley is popping in the photos.
