We went nuts for Halloween. Strobe light, fog machine, tons of sensor things (you walk by and they scream), bloody doors, spider webs everywhere, ghost in the trees, luminaries in the yard. I missed a lot of cool things to get photos of – mostly the glowing light/sensor stuff but oh well!
Hayley and her friends did a lot of it and I didn’t even care that stuff looked so nutty, it was charming! People loved it – some people were even taking photos with their cell phones of their kids and the Mummy. Little kids couldn’t handle all the noise and fog
It was so fun. I stayed out on the porch working some of the toys to freak people out. It is our tradition to give out glow stick bracelets and necklaces with the candy, so I did those too.
Hayley pretty much went nuts. She had a friend sleepover and three other neighborhood kids ask to Trick-Treat with her. I was so happy for her to have people want to go with her and then everyone come over to her house. We got pizzas for us, her friend and her mom and out next door neighbors came over too.
Next year, I’m just going to plan on throwing an after-party for everyone!

Hayley had a blast at Gregory and Grayson’s Bday party @ PumpItUp. We drove over with our next door neighbor Jen and her daughter Mason. Hayley spent a lot of time with her friend Ashley there too.
Photos are of Hayley, Ashley, Mason, Joel and Gregory and Grayson (the bday boys) and other kids…

We dropped Hayley off at Camp Seafarer Sunday afternoon for a week of camp. I cried leaving but she was ready to roll when she saw the rest of her cabinmates on the pier ready to sail.
This camp is so wonderful. Tons of sailboats, kayaks and motorboats, huge waterslide, zip lines. Horses, golf course, tennis, tons of soccer, volleyball and softball fields. Her cabin was almost on the water and it took like less than one minute to get to the pier where the boats were!!! They were taking them out on rides on a motor boat when we left.
They had these great rustic cabins with about 11 bunks for kids and 3 bunks for counselors in each – so the kids have THREE counselors right in the cabin, one is right next to Hayley. And they have nice bathrooms and showers attached to the cabin – I always hated having to trek to an outside bathroom at camp.
The camp had an entire clothing and gear line of stuff – I went a bit nuts but oh well. Just way cool place. You dream about camps this cool for your child. All these counselors are that confident, happy and sunny kind of girls that I so want her to be. This camp helps create confident, independent and strong kids and I so want that for her.

Hayley did an Easter Egg hunt in the neighborhood as well as one at home. We had lots of fun at both and Hayley made out like a bandit!
She was dying to dress up for the first hunt, so she did. But for the second hunt, the one at home Easter morning, she couldn’t even get out of her pajamas before running outside!

We did Easter Eggs with our neighbor and her daughter yesterday. We started with 12 but it was too much fun so ended up doing 36 eggs for two kids – it just kept going and going. They have so many more fun kits for eggs than when I was a kid and Hayley is at the age where she can do some neat things. We decorated the trees in the front yard for fun with plastic eggs too.

Our next door neighbor Mason had her fourth birthday party this past Saturday and we, especially Hayley, had a wonderful time. It was a barnyard party where they watched Home on the Range, had lunch and lots of fun opening gifts.
