Photos of Hayley from basketball season
First a great video. This is from February – the end of the SECOND overtime. RTHS was down two points with about 9 seconds left. Alex ends up with the ball and throws it to Hayley who gets fouled with under 3 seconds left. She hits both and they cruise through the 3rd OT to win. I just love her making both with the loud booing.

As always I have a ton of photos to upload…
First off, Hayley made the varsity basketball team again but has also been shooting sports for the school newspaper – check out her latest photos from a tennis match, http://www.raptorresearcher.tk/sports/tennis-rths-vs-voyager-academy.

Hayley and I went to a women’s sport shooting clinic where we learned about gun safety and try our hand at skeet, trap, archery and pistols. We both had a lot of fun! Can’t wait to go back for some more clinics.

One of my birthday presents was tickets for the three of us to a concert with some of my favorite 70s bands! It was fantastic – Orleans, Ambrosia, John Ford Coley and Player!

This summer Hayley went on two great trips through colleges. She won a free scholarship to Summer Bridge, a girls in science program, at Radford University. Then she was accepted for a science exploration hike in the NC Mountains through Montreat College where they helped collect data for the Park Services. She had an amazing time at both and hopes to go again next summer too. After the Montreat trip, we stayed in the mountains and explored, visited WCU, Asheville and saw some Hunger Games sites.

Note: I have a huge photo backlog to post but I wanted to TRY to start catching up. I’ve posted a couple of of galleries backdated after this.
Thursday night was the RTHS Athletic Banquet. Hayley got the Coach’s Award in both Basketball and Soccer and Honorable Mention All-Conference in soccer.

We had a great time in Charleston for spring break! Staying in the historic district was great, did lots of tours of historic stuff (houses, carriage ride, dungeons, etc) as well as College of Charleston and Citadel. Hayley and I could look at old houses forever – toss in the water & aquarium, good food and the history and it might be our favorite vacation city ever.
